Hosts with heart and passion
We, Christoph and Felix Düster, are brothers and are the fourth generation to run our family business Rührberger Hof with passion. We continue to be supported by our parents, who contribute to the family spirit of the house with their wealth of experience and warmth.
In our kitchen, we create dishes together, incorporating a great deal of dedication, experience and creativity. For us, every dish is an expression of care and attention to detail.
Our close bond as brothers is also reflected in our work - we are not only a family, but also a well-coordinated team that pursues its vocation as restaurateurs with enthusiasm and commitment.

The Rührberger Hof is idyllically situated in a quiet village, right on the edge of the forest and very close to Basel. Here you can enjoy the tranquillity of nature and at the same time the proximity to the city. Thanks to its convenient location, the hotel can also be reached quickly from the highway.
In 2016, 11 of our 19 hotel rooms were lovingly and extensively renovated.
In 2020, two spacious vacation apartments were added - the Bitzer Suite and the Völkle Suite - for guests who want a little more space and comfort.
